Hi, I'm Ruby, the hands behind Sewn x Roo. I grew up with my nose always stuck between the pages of a book. I loved being able to escape into other worlds and let my imagination run wild. As I got older the love for books never died down. I was still into fairy tales they were just a little spicier {iykyk}. The idea for Sewn x Roo began after starting a book club with my daughter, we started taking our kindles everywhere and they were getting dinged up, so she asked me to make her a kindle sleeve. I really enjoyed the process but what I really loved was how happy my daughter was with her custom sleeve! I take inspiration from my Latina heritage to create beautiful pieces that incorporate a little bit of my cultura.
